Shipping, Delivery, Collection & Returns
Please read the following information carefully before placing your order.
These terms apply to the collection, delivery and return of goods purchased from Equipment Warehouse Pty Ltd.
Collection & Freight
Unless specifically stated otherwise, product prices do not include freight.
Where delivery has not been requested or quoted, your order will be based on free collection from the specified warehouse location.
The applicable collection location may be shown on your quotation, invoice, order confirmation or collection advice.
If you would prefer the goods to be delivered, please let us know and we will provide a freight quotation.
Delivery will incur an additional freight charge unless the product or promotion specifically states that freight is included.
Where a freight charge has been quoted, that charge applies to the delivery address, delivery method and delivery requirements provided to us at the time of quotation.
If your delivery address, access requirements, unloading requirements or other delivery circumstances change, the freight charge may need to be revised.
If an order is placed on a collection basis and delivery is requested later, we will provide a freight quotation before arranging dispatch.
For products or promotions specifically advertised as including freight, any stated delivery areas, conditions, exclusions or surcharges applicable to that promotion will apply.
Warehouse Collection
Where your order is marked for collection, the goods will be made available from the warehouse location shown on your quotation, invoice, order confirmation or collection advice separately. Sometimes we may use a 3rd party warehouse for collection so not all collections will be from our advertised address.
Please do not attend the nominated warehouse until we have confirmed that your order is ready for collection.
The person collecting the goods is responsible for:
- using a vehicle suitable for the size and weight of the goods;
- ensuring the goods can be transported safely and legally;
- providing suitable load restraint where required; and
- complying with any site safety or collection instructions provided at the warehouse.
Identification, order details or collection authority may be required before goods are released.
Delivery to Your Address
We can arrange delivery to most locations throughout Australia.
Delivery is provided using third-party freight carriers and is subject to the carrier being able to safely and reasonably access and service the nominated delivery location.
Many of our products are large, heavy and unsuitable for manual unloading.
Unless otherwise agreed before freight is booked, suitable mechanical unloading equipment must be available at the delivery location.
This will commonly mean having a suitable forklift available.
The customer is responsible for ensuring:
- suitable unloading equipment is available;
- the unloading equipment has sufficient capacity for the goods being delivered;
- safe and suitable access is available for the delivery vehicle;
- an authorised person is available to receive the delivery where required; and
- the goods can be unloaded safely and without unreasonable delay.
For safety reasons, freight drivers may be unable or unwilling to manually unload heavy equipment.
Residential & Unsuitable Delivery Locations
Some products cannot be safely or practically delivered directly to certain locations.
This may include:
- residential addresses;
- locations without a suitable forklift or unloading equipment;
- locations where tailgate unloading is unavailable or unsuitable;
- properties with restricted truck access;
- locations that cannot safely accommodate the delivery vehicle; or
- locations outside the carrier's normal delivery service.
If your nominated address is unsuitable for direct delivery, we may recommend an alternative delivery method.
Couriers / Carriers use their own database to determine if an address is considered commercial or residential. Their general rule of thumb is if there is a residential home where any one can sleep anywhere on the property then the property is deemed residential. So this include farms / rural properties. This determination is made by the carrier and not Equipment Warehouse.
Delivery to a Local Freight Depot
Where direct delivery to your address is unsuitable, we may be able to arrange delivery to a local freight depot for collection.
This can be a suitable option where:
- the delivery address is residential;
- no forklift or suitable unloading equipment is available onsite;
- tailgate delivery is unavailable or unsuitable;
- access for a freight vehicle is restricted; or
- direct delivery would otherwise be impractical.
Where depot delivery is arranged, the applicable depot will be confirmed as part of the freight arrangements.
The customer is responsible for:
- collecting the goods from the nominated depot within the timeframe required by the carrier;
- using a suitable vehicle;
- safely and legally transporting the goods from the depot; and
- providing appropriate load restraint.
Storage, handling or other charges resulting from goods not being collected within the carrier's permitted collection period may be payable by the customer.
Tailgate Delivery
If you do not have a forklift or suitable unloading equipment available, please tell us before freight is booked.
For suitable products and locations, we may be able to arrange delivery using a vehicle fitted with a hydraulic tailgate.
Tailgate delivery may incur an additional charge and is subject to:
- the size and weight of the goods;
- the carrier's equipment limits;
- safe and suitable access; and
- availability of the service in your area.
Not all products can be unloaded by tailgate.
Where tailgate delivery is not suitable, delivery to a local freight depot may be recommended instead.
Additional Freight, Waiting & Redelivery Charges
Additional charges may apply where:
- the delivery address or delivery information provided is incorrect or incomplete;
- access is restricted or unsuitable;
- special delivery or unloading equipment is required;
- the carrier is required to wait beyond a reasonable period;
- suitable unloading facilities are not available;
- nobody is available to receive the delivery where required;
- delivery needs to be redirected;
- goods need to be returned to a depot;
- storage or depot handling fees are incurred; or
- a further delivery attempt is required.
Where reasonably practicable, we will advise you of additional charges before they are incurred.
Where a delivery cannot be completed because of circumstances within the customer's control, the customer will be responsible for reasonable additional freight, waiting, storage, handling or redelivery charges incurred.
Delivery Times
Any dispatch or delivery date provided is an estimate unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
We use third-party freight carriers throughout Australia and delivery times may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including carrier delays, weather, road closures, transport disruptions, regional service schedules and other freight network delays.
We will take reasonable steps to arrange delivery in accordance with the estimated timeframe and assist with following up the carrier where appropriate.
To the extent permitted by law, Equipment Warehouse is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Receiving Your Delivery
Please inspect the shipment as soon as reasonably possible after receiving it.
If the packaging or goods appear to have been damaged during transport, please:
- note the damage with the driver or on the delivery record where possible;
- photograph the packaging before disposing of it;
- photograph any visible damage to the goods; and
- contact Equipment Warehouse as soon as possible.
- Keep original packaging
Prompt notification assists us in investigating transport damage and lodging any applicable freight claim.
Please Choose Carefully
Please choose carefully before placing your order.
Equipment Warehouse does not accept returns, exchanges or provide refunds for change of mind or incorrect product selection.
This includes where you:
- change your mind;
- no longer require the goods;
- order the incorrect product;
- select the incorrect size, capacity, configuration or specification;
- subsequently find the product cheaper elsewhere; or
- determine after ordering that the product is unsuitable where that suitability was not represented or confirmed by us.
Many of our products are specialised commercial equipment and can be expensive to manufacture, handle, store and transport.
We strongly recommend confirming the product's dimensions, capacity, specifications, compatibility, site requirements and intended application before ordering.
If you are unsure whether a product is suitable, please contact us before placing your order and we can provide further product information and assistance.
This change-of-mind policy does not affect any rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Manufacturer's Warranty
Unless otherwise specified for a particular product, new products are generally supplied with a 12-month manufacturer's warranty.
The terms, exclusions and claims procedure for a manufacturer's warranty may vary between products and manufacturers.
A manufacturer's warranty operates in addition to any rights or remedies that may apply under the Australian Consumer Law.
